In September 1953, Andreas Cheilas, just 15 years old, set up his own handmade jewelry counter in a small apartment on Nikiou Street in the center of Athens, after 1.5 years of apprenticeship. His only client at the time was his uncle, Konstantinos Cheilas, a well-known jeweler of the time, who had brought him from their homeland, the small village of Vachlia in mountainous Arcadia, to Athens, to introduce him to the field of jewelry. After a huge course in the whole range of jewelry (manufacturing, wholesale, imports), in 2004, Andreas transferred the business to his son, Vassilis, who since 1989, was his right hand in the business. In 2014, Vassilis Cheilas opens his new store in Pagrati, seeking to bring the public in contact with quality, but also affordable jewelry that has always been the trademark of the name!
